His beginnings

It all began when I was very young, until I was a teenager, I worked the land with my father and brother. We had a farm; this is where I understood that every effort counts. My father instilled two key values in us—hard work and passion. He taught us to persevere, always improve and surpass ourselves.

In my late teens, I joined the construction industry during the 2008 hiring boom. I worked as an apprentice carpenter-joiner for my brother, Bryan Desrosiers, for one year. He gave me my first opportunity and taught me the tricks of the trade. Bryan was a role model for me: strong, bright, hardworking, courageous and persevering.

For the next six years, I worked for two different contractors—the desire to become a general contractor was already present. I felt a sense of leadership and wanted to create something—something that would enable me to do more.

From construction to real estate development

Since returning to the Eastern Townships, and with some key partners, I have become specialized in real estate investments. I initially started my management company, Placements FD, to buy real estate. It began with my own commercial offices and then, within a few months, I acquired three additional properties, including a four-unit building, and participated in the construction of a six-unit building. Projects have been multiplying ever since—today, we own more than 1,000 doors!

UNI—a company dedicated to finding interesting real estate development deals—was created. Most of our real estate investments allow Conceptions Desrosiers to win key contracts.

I thrive on challenges. Everyone’s well-being is important to me—it contributes to Conception Desrosiers’ success, but more importantly, to the team’s well-being, both personally and professionally.
